Description

DEXTERITRIP is a minimalist 2D indie platform game.

The player will face 100 handmade different levels where skill and timing will be everything.

You will be able to play it alone or with a friend in a Two Players Local Mode.

In DEXTERITRIP you play as a little cube which objective is to overcome the different obstacles it will find during its journey through the game.

In DEXTERITRIP there will be two game modes available:

Kill Them All Mode: It is a classical approach to the platform genre

The player will have the ability to shift gravity in order to navigate the levels, but this wont be possible all the time and so he will be forced to jump which come with a counterpart, every jump you make will cost one life, so you better learn to analyze if that move you are about to make is the correct one!
The main goal is to eliminate all the enemies in the level.

Keep The Flow Mode: In this mode the player movement changes. Instead of jumping, the player will have to control its gravity at all times in order to float through the level while avoiding any kind of damage. The idea in this game mode is to simply reach the end of every level without being touched one single time.

The game will also feature a High Score leader board so players can track their best scores in every level.

History

Gravity Shift is born as the final project for the last year in college (ENTI).

A first prototype was made during the first three months of the course by Oriol Escolar. After that, we had to form a team of three members and so Albert Escolar and Sergio Costa joined.
Panopticon Games was formed and DEXTERITRIP became the first project of the studio.

Features

Two Players: Team up with a friend and play all the levels of the game in a two player local multiplayer mode.

Change Gravity: The player will have the ability to shift gravity in order to navigate the levels.

Limited Jumps: Gravity shifting wont be possible all the time! The player will be forced to jump in some occasions and that comes with a counterpart, every jump you make will cost one life, so you better learn to manage and think if that move you are about to make is the correct one!

Two Different Game Modes:

Original Mode: It is a classical approach to the platform genre.

Gravity Mode: In this mode the player movement changes, instead of jumping, the player will have to control its gravity at all times in order to float through the level while avoid any kind of damage. The idea in this game mode is to simply reach the end of every level without being touched one single time.

High Scores Record: The game will also feature a High Score record so players can track their best scores in every level.
